Most Toyota cars from these years used the TR47 key blade which are still used today in the 2018 models. These types of Toyota car keys can be cut with a duplicator machine and do not require any programming because they don't have chips. Replacement Toyota Transponder Chip Keys 1998 - 2010
Right around 1998 Toyota developed its first transponder chip key the TOY43AT4 which worked for most Toyotas between 1998 and 2003 including the Toyota Avalon, Toyota Camry, Highlander and many more models. The Toyota43at4 chip key has a Texas instrument 4c chip inside the key that must be programmed to the immobilizer in order for the vehicle to start. Replacement Toyota Transponder Chip Keys 2010 - 2018
Toyota has improved their car key transponder technology over the years and made it harder for them to be cloned and programmed. In 2004 Toyota developed the Toyota 4d dot chip key that is more encrypted and more secure than the previous Texas instrument 4c chip key. In 2010 Toyota once again improved their transponder keys and created the Toyota 4d 72 G chip key. The Keyless Shop sell the Toyota dot key and Toyota G chip keys between $50 - $75 which include programming. Finally in 2014 Toyota once again improved its transponder key and created its most encrypted Toyota H chip key, which is still being used today in their 2018 models. Duplicate Toyota Remote Keys 2007 - 2018
In 2007 Toyota developed its remote key which is a transponder chip key which includes keyless entry buttons on the head of the key. Toyota remote keys have changed and in 2012 now have a more modern look to them. Transponder chips on these vehicles vary depending on the year. Duplicate Toyota Smart Keys 2004 - 2018
Toyota developed its first smart key in 2004 with the Toyota Prius. A smart key or proximity car key is different than your regular ignition vehicle. These cars don't have ignitions rather a button on the dash board that you simply push to start the vehicle. In order for the vehicle to start the proximity remote must be inside the vehicle.
